Kat Lieu is the founder of Subtle Asian Baking and this website modernasianbaking.com, and she is the bestselling author of Modern Asian Baking at Home. Currently, Kat is a full-time author, food writer, activist, and recipe developer. Follow her on Instagram.

Formerly a doctor of physical therapy, Kat has now become a powerhouse in the world of activism, raising nearly $100,000 for various AAPIHN causes and directing the Very Asian Creators Program and Fund with the Very Asian Foundation. But that's not all - this multi-talented powerhouse is also a budding cookbook author who plans to pen a few more before diving back into her true passion: writing cheesy romantic comedies and tasteful bodice rippers. When she's not busy changing the world and whipping up culinary delights, Kat is playing video games with her husband and son, cuddling with her shih-poo Panda, and living her best life in Seattle, WA.
